As fantastic as it may seen, BBC News is reporting on a new genetic discovery that could pave the way for teeth to be grown in a lab. This new discovery could lead the way to the elimination of dentures and fillings. Currently, it is not possible to re-grow the outer enamel shell of the tooth. However, on-going research at Oregon State University suggests it may soon be possible to re-grow teeth to replace human teeth. Of course, alot of work still needs to be done to bring this to human applications, but this discovery could usher in a whole new approach to dentistry!
